About a German girl ...

No joke... sorry for the English: I already mailed this to an English friend, and it's quite some work to translate it. You'll manage!

As I told you on my Hyves I bought a Black Golf 1.6 105 something :driving: .

Yesterday received an advertisement on car insurance from that same car-company for the Golf with my number plate 30-LT-SL that mentioned a Golf 1.6 77kw!! I checked this information on a website from the Dutch government (www.rdw.nl you type the number plate, you'll get all the official technical details of the car). Yep, 77kw, not 105! So, at that moment I was quite pissed  telling Paul that they always try to rip off women buying cars, that I finally thought I found a decent car-salesman, but.... :wtf: anyway you can understand what is was about. I finished it by telling: see, now I now why I didn't think it was such a fast car anyway. It should have been almost twice as fast.
I'm quite quick on reacting, so immediately I typed an email to the guy who sold me the car, with a copy to his customer service (it's a pretty large company, & they really want you to be their client, so a big customer service department), telling him what I found on the internet and on the insurance papers and that hereby I wanted the sell to be considered cancelled. I would contact them concerning further developments.:machinegun:

After (of course after... ^o) ) sending the mail I checked some more details on the internet and found out that horsepower is not the same as kilowatt, at least not in the Netherlands where we use the abbreviation 'pk'. There is a factor 0,73 between them, what exactly explains the difference between 77 en 105 (as in 77 KW, and 105 PK...). Big ooops... :-|

I don't know if you know 'Outlook' the mail software with which you can un-do a sent email.. I don't have that! I have Lotus Notes at work and it does not contain this -at that moment very much desired- feature!! So, completely embarrassed :$ I had to type one more email (my god, I'm bad at apologizing!) with of course my deepest regrets, some sorries, and I also expressed the deep wish for 'Outlook' on my computer. Also mentioning that I hoped the salesman didn't get in to too much trouble.... and finally.. that I still would really like to buy my German girlfriend (in my email called Golf 1.6 77kw black) who appears to be fast enough, because there are not that many faster models....

I can only image how hard the guys at the car-company have laughed 'bout this chick who tried to buy a car by herself... anyway: It's a mensworld... :beard:
Anyway, the salesman reacted really sportive, mailing me that it was of course no problem and that a mistake was made easily by everybody. He did not add 'especially by girls', no need for that, I could almost see him grin :-s .

    Mhuhahah...

Tsja, Als je mij met mijn 140pk (102kw) voorbij ziet blazen in mijn new car had je toch gehoopt dat er kw ipv pk achter dat cijfer had gestaan :)
